Title: ABF Throttle position sensor

does anyone know if i would be about to use a TPS off say an 8v gti or would it have to be off the 16v?

its the 2 pin one at the back of the throttle

The 2 pin isnt the TPS. Thats the throttle closed switch. TPS is 3 pin

cheers for the reply dude,
the garage said it was the tps on the back so if the tps is on the front i really dont know which one to get.

from experiance wich would you say would be the most likely to need changing?

What are the symptoms your supposed faulty TPS is showing? 

I'd be suprised if it was the TPS causing any jip.  I'd put any running/idling problems down to the ISV (idle stabilization valve)

Garages sometimes don't know what they're on about. As above, what are the symptoms.
