Title: BUILD DATES
Post by: Chris.Air on 29 August 2011, 20:44
I found a thread about this somewhere on here but can't seem to find it!!!
I ordered a car at the end of may and was told parts were picked about 2-3 weeks ago, when would I expect to receive my car.

Sorry if this has been asked before

Chris

I recived bad news today. My car ain't coming till November some time. There has been a freeze on production they can't get the dsg gearbox:-(
I have hired a fiesta to keep me going as I sold mine ages ago, VW have said they will supply me a car 5 months from me ordering which is the middle of September.
Am I the only one with this problem?

Chris

I made a list of all the troubled parts and went for anything off that list when I ordered mine...

so DSG at Number 1, Nav units and DAB module.

Ordered 8th May, picking up Thursday!

All IMO

Tiggies: It's a 4wd golf for urban dwellers where pot holes and curbs are the biggest issues, often driven by Yummy Mummy's

If you live anywhere near a fast flowing road the lower center of gravity makes the difference...

Sorry to hear about your delay, time to start pushing perhaps in a friendly up beat way, maybe write a few letters, make a few calls.  If you do want to slog it out, start looking at greater compensation.... maybe ask them for LOTS off a nearly new one they may have in the stockyard.

Or can the order and go buy private, nearly new or .....what seems to be the way convert to a Bavarian alternative.

My R is on schedule - build week 36, DSG, sat nav, all the toys. Even managed to add rear view camera to the order.
The only trouble is now in my new job I get to drive cars we make and in comparison the R will be soooo sloooow. Let's just say the smallest engine we have is 4.7 V8

This little tiggy went to the supermarket....
This little tiggy stayed at home
This little tiggy had rolled going round a quick corner
This little tiggy had none of the right fuel in it
but this little tiggy went wee wee wee all the way home in the wet!

Fair?

If I was going upwards I'd have to go for a Q7 or twitreg.

Maybe one for the missis the tiggy, really do wish I could have spec'd 4motion on the car I pick up tomorrow...

I can't really comment on the tiggy I know and your right I haven't test driven one, I was just being playful.  I merely go on the laws of physics.  I'm meant to be downsizing and a golf seems to be the right size even if it lacks some of the long range tourer like faculty's i'm used too.

My Gti was built Monday as dealer said it would be, and is now waiting on the docks to be put on ship. Been told it will be here in 10 days so I can,t complain at all as its all going to plan(famous last words), told the dealer I want it on the road on the 23rd. Can,t wait. Anybody want to buy a Bmw 320i M Sport Coupe 07 plate?
