I've ran (like an indiot) down the side of an out of place rock wall in the Derbyshire Dales, left me with a deep scratch which I have been quoted 200-250 to repair.
I will do this when I sell, which isn't yet... so I was wondering what you chaps would advise in order to make it "pretty" until the sale time comes and I repair it.
Thanks in advance fella's

Not sure about a temp fix, may aswell do a proper job our it will look sh!te.
For that amount of money you could buy a cheap rotary, paint and all the other bits,DIY and keep the gear.
Have a look in the detailing stickies for scratch/chip repair.

Ouch!!! Pay for it to be done properly mate or you will end up paying twice if you try doing it yourself.
-
not worth having a botch job done mate get a propper bodyshop to spray it for you you will be glad you did

I'm sure you could get cheaper jobs done professionally if you look around dude! I my self would charge around £100-£150 to sort that out! If you dont want to pay out that kind of money, maybe just touch up the paint with a colour stick just to help protect it and hide it a bit?

A good sesh with a rotary polisher will make it look pretty, maybe even enough to sell it. You can get some great results with a rotary.
-
Just use a touch up stick until you can get it fixed just to stop it rusting.

The only thing is that its bound to have dented it slightly, so a bodyshop would probs be your best route tbh.

Thanks for your reply, can you recommend such a stick... I don't want to use a poor one. Thanks.

I think Halfords do a range of touch up sticks! The main thing is to protect it from rust so I would suggest buying a can of aerosol lacquer at the same time, spraying some into the lid and then applying to the scratch after touching it up to really make sure its sealed in  I hope this is of some help!

go to the stealers for touch up sticks, they are only about 5/6 quid,
mix the paint with the laquer before applying it to the scratches, from your picture though it looks like a proper respray is going to be your better option imo.

Yes, the more I look at it the more I'm thinking of paying up and having it completed professionally.

yes thats your best bet really, my scratch repair guide is purely a fairly simple fix but is no match for a respray cosmetically.

I agree, If you can afford the expense, take it to a bodyshop
