im 15? just wanted to know if there's any i can take part it when i get my mk2, it won't be race prepped, so is there any sort of 'free race' drive where you can just turn up in your daily driver? also what's the cost on these?
thanks, dan.

most if not all open to the public track days you need to provide your licence. Nuff said.

any special events anyone knows of?

Extremely unlikely.
You either need a kart, or to find a club doing (off-road) tyro trials.
I don't think anyone's going to let you out on a track day with real adults with real driving licenses until you have one too.

Yep you need a license for trackdays.

I'm not taking the piss here but banger an stock racing let kids drive, i drove banger races when i was 12.
Good for a laugh and also makes you pretty feckin quick to respond to things around you, prepare you for real track days with the bellends in boxters

This. You need to do actual motorsport, rather than track days, which are just p*ssing about really.

I dunno about where you are but they run under 17 driver training and various odds and ends. I know a 15yr old who was kicking @ss at the autotesting I take part in. Don't need a licence to do that and the only thing you'll hit is cones. Would be worth looking for a local club.
Quick google search turned up this, 12-16yr old drive on track in supercar for 10mins for £69.00

As for track day you need a full driving licence so it's non starter, however there's still loads of activities to choose from which will make you a better driver in the long run.
