Yep, it happens..

happened to me in my first year there. took the notes from my wallet, but left my cards, phone and camera. they even zipped my tent back up for me! bless.

Did they get away with the handbag? Should always sleep with expensive items in the bottom of your sleeping bag.

Glasto changed because of this very reason, higher fence more cops different line ups.
The year Oasis played (95 i think) it was a manc rob fest then year after year they had bands which attracted a criminal element culminating in several stabbings and a mini riot.
The commercialism and CJA influenced the path of festivals away from alternative/leftfield fan base into a mainstream event, this brought with it the usual blight.
Any way I never take what i cant carry on my person all the time, and i only have a cheap tent and bag which gets chucked in September.
Sorry about your misses OP, i would be well pissed off

I am glad I got to do them when the only bad thing to happen was buying paper that was supposed to be acid
Some of the traveller types were a bit hairy and the odd tent got turned over, but for the most part it was peace and love.
In my opinion glasto is still the best, different crowd now but the safest environment to enjoy yourself.
Wonder what the bulldog bash is like now?

No, i camped in front of the John peal stage at Glastonbury this year, this was a major problem with
the security staff coming round several times advising us to stay vigilant.

This kinda thing really does make your blood boil.

Generally pretty good....Who's going to rob an 18st biker?

Of course if 2 chaps who have something to settle bump into eachother.... then its interesting!

I went to glasto this year and everything was absolutly fine. I think It depends on the neighbors, type of music and where about you camps. I think people are idiots when they camp up next to the arenas and busy foot paths. I tent to camp out of the way.

Saying that I jsut got back from leeds and we all camps fairly close to a walkway coming of a main walkway and everything was fine.
