Title: Head bolt tool?
Post by: golfmk4owner on 27 August 2011, 12:10
Hi guys im going to tackle my head gasket today but cant find a bit for the cylinder head bolts. It seems to have more splines than a star or torx bit. Whats the name / size of the bit?
Its a mk2 golf gti 16v kr engine
Cheers guys

spline tool but its more like m12

The head I took off recently was a normal Allen Key job ... I used a 3/8th drive and suitable unit...

Biggest pain was doing the manifold Bolts...

As above, M12 spline tool also called a triple square bit or XZN bit
