Hi im selling my car and it is currently sorn.
I returned the tax and the mot runs out at the end of next month.
I have someone coming to see it tomo and wants to know whether i could get it tax'd which i said i could, but the question is how do i get it motd as it is currently sorn?
Would i have to un SORN it then could i get a temp insurance to get it MOTd?
Thanks

Provided you have booked it into a garage for an MOT, you'd be safe to drive it there and back.
Once you apply for tax it's automatically un-sorn'd.

OK.
Get some temporary cover, say 7 days. As long as you have insurance for the days the tax comes into force, you should be fine.
Do it online.

I wouldn't buy insurance to tax it.. what if he don't buy it.. f**k that.. tell him, mot is til next month, if he wants it you will knock the price of the tax off, he will have to have insurance to drive the thing off anyways.. otherwise you end up with a car with tax on it and possibly no buyer

Well I sold it last night. The couple couldnt have been nicer. They got insurance over the phone then ordered tax aswell. Sold it for 1350 which is less than I would have liked but now the hassle of trying to sell it has gone
Thanks for the help guys
