Title: Bring me back to earth!!

Right chaps trying to get my 8V Gti (digi) running better and working way through things just looked at some pics and i see there is a earthing plate that connects to the rocker cover far right corner as you look at it mine has not got this and there is no earth connecting to it, what should be earthed to this ?????  :smiley:

Im sure someone else will know exactly, but I think it goes to somewhere around the coil, providing a sound earth for the spark? Will check this evening when Im fiddling with mine (car)....

Yeah, there's a lead from one of the bolts holding the coil in place
