Oooh look its an engine on the grass!
How interestingzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Yeah look mate , and wish that you could do a job like that ;) :-* :-*
-
At least the engine gets out and about for the day, It had a lovely time on the grass and met up with a couple of worms and a snail who had in depth knowledge of the internal combustion engine. The engine befriended him and will no doubt look him up on friends re-united in 20 years time.
-
Yup VR6 I wish I could lay my engine out as neatly on my grass as you have, you must be so proud. :-*
Did u let it get sunburnt or is that rust?
U irresponsible person u letting your baby get burnt!
-
Don't see any pictures of your handy work glen, DO you do you own work?
-
Ohh i sense handbag time again :-* :-* :-* come on Glen get it out :-*
-
we can rebuild it , we have the technology. :-*
-
Get it out VR6? u a bit fruity?
And Modulater no, no I dont as i have said before I pay a mechanic to prevent me from breaking my car!!
VR6 likes the banter he'd get bored on here if it wasnt for me!! :P
-
That right Glen i love the banter, and i love you :-* :-*
-
We all like the banter, its what makes this site what it is.
I pay a mechanic to work on my car, Myself and normally in plasters for skinned knuckles.
-
Allright VR6 mate you're starting to worry me now!
As far as mechanics go I started years ago with a 1974 Beetle, got well pissed off with it and decided from then on in I would pay someone to do it so as not to annoy the hell outa me, no patience you see!! >:(
-
Oh don't be like that :-* :-*
-
I'd love to be able to pay a mechanic to work on my car...
But I dont trust the f*ckers! They'd make far more of a mess than I ever would!
Last time I took my car for work, was a Punto Sporting which needed an altenator changing (for the 3rd time) after my big ICE fried 2 standard altenators, I decided to go for an uprated jobbie, and with them being under the back of the engine, I really couldn't be bothered to do it again as it's an arse of a job.
But soon learned my lesson, after he dented and scratched my wing (probably pulling himself back out from under the car with muck and gravel and sh!t all over his hands), snapped the corner mount of my splitter so that had to be re-fibreglassed! and generally left bolts out willy nilly and made a mess!!
Go to a mechnic at your own risk!
Since then I've done loads of jobs myself and have got lots better at DIY'ing my own cars & bikes.
Any1 else had bad experiences with garages? or Good?!!
E.g Some YTS kid changing the headgasket and then taking the car for a test flight round the block with no oil in it!! (happened with a friends Golf VR6!!)

For those of you out there that aren't too good with the spanners I would recommend doing a course at your local college if they do car repairs.
Saving money, doing it right and not having a fat grease monkey trying to baffle you with bollox will be just rewards.
