hi ive always wanted a mk1 but could never afford 1 but the other day i was offerd a right hand drive import gti in need of some work for £500. the work it needs is welding and respray does any1 think its worth the money? im itching to get my hands on a mk1 but dont want to waist money
-
it does depend what condition they are in and what history comes with them.. like anything a minter can fetch strong money and a grotter will only be worth pennies
if you are handy with a welder and a spray gun then £500 is probably about right... the good thing about a mk1 is that it shouldn't go down in value if it is looked after

welding yes spraying no il ship that job out i was just wondering if being a import decreas's its value? also are imports dificult to insure
