Am I the only one who gets fooked of with classified ads on here with "offers" or "blind ebay links"? I've got list as long as my arm for bits I want to buy for my gti aswell as wanting a gti for Mrs Negawsklov to stamp her authority on and get wound up having to prompt and dig for a price in order to work out if it's feasible or not (more often than not we dont even get a reply from the seller!!!!!). I'm a member of two other forums, Volkszone and Edition38 and these types of ads are banned. To me these types of adverts are just lazy and annoying.

No not jsit you lol. Why would you sell something and not have a picture or price? It's just stupid and wasting my time and doesn't really help the seller either lol. It does mention it in the rules bit clearly not many people read them

Price or no ad IMO. Trouble is would need moderating all of the time!

I've noticed that alot of these types of ads are from folk with only one or two posts, prehaps they hope we've done as little research into their product/cars value as they have and offer a grand for their mk3 front grill!!!!!

I too get very annoyed with ads like this, in fact i'm pretty sure that on ukmkiv's you have to display a piece of card showing your username and the date along with a picture of the item you are selling.
I along with others have offered to moderate the classifieds in the past but nothing has come from it.

oh well, sh!t happens

Agree with the OP, my first port of call for parts is always E38 now, because the ads have to be clear and have proper details an a price.
Ads on here annoy the sh!t out of me with their vagueness sometimes.
So Admin, how about it? enforced guidelines, id moderate the sh!t out of it!

it works well on E38 because there is no need for much moderation, the members helpfully tell the advertiser "needs a price or the ad gets deleted mate" if they're genuinely interested. Give that a try, and if they dont put a price up in a reasonable time feel free to hit the "report to moderator" button.. just don't take the p!ss because it spams my inbox

ok

exactly the same happens on VZi, if you cant be arsed to advertise it properly why should anyone be arsed to look to buy it,
