Title: Steering wheel Boss Sizes

I'm just wondering when the MK2 changed from a Small Boss column to the Big Boss??

I had assumed it was when the changed over to the 90 Spec CE2 loom etc but I've just broken a 16V (Rot Box)... Which was a 1989 with CE1 loom and I measured the steering column and it seems to be the same size as my 90 spec one.... Confused.... :huh:

'87 I think, pretty sure thats what Haynes says. Mines an '89 and has the adaptor.
