Hi folks
The pipes on my steering rack are squirting fluid every where so i need to take the rack off and i was wondering if i can do it without dropping the sub frame or does the sub have to come off?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks folks.

The sub frame has to be dropped down to get it out.

interesting, mine are getting a bit rusty.
Do you NEED to take the rack out for this, or could it be done with some wiggling?

Its the pipes that run along the front of the rack. I have already changed the feed and return pipes.
Its the ones that have the banjo fitting just in front of the universal joint and one runs half way along the rack (this one is fine) and the other one runs to the other side of the rack (the leaking one). and screws into the top of the rack and there is no way i can get it out without removing the rack. (tried and its solid and starting to round)
I have quick welded it already but that has gave way, and its due its MOT and i need to sort the leak out.
Its driving me daft,lol
its typical that its the most difficult pipe that is leaking (like a fountain) and it would have to be the bottom of the pipe so i cant get in to seal it because of the rack.
Any suggestions?
