Ive got one on my 97 16v, apparently they're supposed to help reduce drag coefficient...

It will actually help improve aero, underbody flow is one of the biggest causes of drag on a car due to projections, voids etc so the bumper will normally catch a lot of air like a bucket. Is it worth it? Dunno probably not

Lowering a car helps reduce the drag CO a well*, less space to get under car = less airflow under car :)

*to an extent, at some point not you'll hit stall and make more drag, or hit the floor and make even more drag :p

Think they are standard on the 16v and VR6. Theres also a similar front undertray which mine is missing

Took mine off as it stops you seeing oil leaks and I was driving around with almost zero oil for about a week =]

They rear diffusers and engine undertrays were only fitted to late 16v's and TDI's i believe. Some 16v's even had an additional sump guard as well like mine did until it was destroyed on the motorway not to long ago.
