Title: New to detailing...advice needed!
Post by: RFC84 on 17 August 2011, 21:47
Ok so been doing lots of reading (mainly on here) and watching Youtube videos. Ive never really been into the detailing thing, i used to just drive down to the car wash! Ive just got a Flash red mk3 Gti. It was gleaming when i got it from a member of here a few weeks back so i want to keep it that way.

So basically i need to get kitted out with cleaning products. Will only be cleaning by hand. Im thinking wash, clay, polish and wax....would i be better using a sealant in there aswell? Budget wise im not wanting to spend hundreds, just stuff that will do a good job! Can some kind sole give me a list of stuff i will need including things like mitts and deatailing spray ect...or even easier a link to a kit that has everything i will need.

Thanks in advance

Have a little shop around on waxamomo, great site, you could easily pick up a 'starter' kit for under £50!

I've just put a very cheap kit together for the basics on this thread:
