Title: Mixing car shampoos

Ran out of shampoo yesterday so about to order some more. Usually get CG Bodywash and Wax (purple stuff) as it does a great job however I've been eying up the Maxi Suds from them as well. If I bought both would they be ok to mix?

Maybe a daft question but would be nice to have the wax of the purple one with the extra suds/cleaning power of the other.

wax in shampoo is very weak, its there to help the water run off the car better, some products can eliminate the wax

ive not heard of the 2 products you speak of, but im sure someone else will be more helpful  :smiley:

seems like a waste of money to me...

for personal washing i used to use bilt hamber autowash.. very effective and lasts a long time.. you only need 5ml per wash

if your car is waxed and sealed, as it should be, then you won't need to worry about the wax content of shampoos

I use the purple one. Its leaves a nice gloss but autoglym off the shelf stuff softens the water better.

yes... that is all it needs... one bottle lasts a very long time...

plus... its anti-corrosive too  :cool:
