Title: Recommend me a metal shed
Post by: Khare on 17 August 2011, 20:01
Looking to buy something like this http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/yardmaster-10-x-9-metal-shed/path/sheds (http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/yardmaster-10-x-9-metal-shed/path/sheds).

Need to store the kart in the garden, this would be perfect. However I'm looking to spend as little as possible. Needs to be 10ft by 7ft at the very least.

My grandad had one to store his 1960 triumph in. Really bad idea! Massive amounts of condensation in metal sheds. May not be too bad storing a kart in it but personally I wouldnt risk it. Even his tool boxes if left open were full of water after it dripped into them.

Really? I've just been told that they're a great idea, and they're weatherproof so inside stays nice and dry and warm if a heater is put inside too.

Ideally I'd like a gazeebo with sides, that way I can take it to race weekends too, however the metal shed looks a bit more presentable in the garden.

Ask a local fab to sort you out after putting in a base. Will be about the same price but to your spec.

Iv got a 14 x 10 foot one for my bikes and its great no bother at all with it. Got mine from argos in sale for 300 notes. That link you put up it looks exactly same as mine its self build took me 2 days with next door neighbor quite an enjoyable thing too as it was baking hot earlier this year. If you do id get one now before it gets cold as its like giant mechano lol
