I think Asker has lost the ability in his fingers at the moment.

Would account for the sudden drop in activity. :lipsrsealed:

Its the family workhorse car so im not the boss of it. I agree about the quattro it just lacks something to me.
Don't get me wrong from an engineering point of view imo the Audi is better built and finished and it does what its ment to but i just find it dull to drive, its a car, it does car things, it does car stuff well.

Well the one I drove I could feel the power being shifted about which was unnerving  :undecided:  Also it was a blazing hot summers day and the sales woman said I should have test driven it the day before when it was raining so I could feel the benefit

I told her if I needed 4 wheel drive to drive, then I shouldn't be driving

It lacks feedback when you throw it into a corner   The steering feels almost weightless  :undecided:  Currently looking at ways to improve this  :lipsrsealed:

Snoops, as far as I can see in the picture you've posted I'm looking at a mk6 Golf R with a TSI engine...

... could you provide any insight?

(ps. how do you know these things )

There is only so much people can do to a mk6 and it's all been done.  How much can you really post about a car like this really.. PS, love to have a go in that 5 cyl mk6.

I would not agree with that. Looking on one of the american forums im on theres loads more can be done than anyone here has done. http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/ has loads of examples.

the biggest problem with the 4wd is that its very on/off..... i suggest if you want to know why so many pro's raved about the capabilities of the R32, S3 etc etc then next time anyone test drives one, to switch off the ESP/TC

I've not been posting as much recently because I've sort of reached a plateau with my car. There's not any mods coming. There's no serious issues and anything that I would post would inevitably be repetitive of what I've already posted about the car.

Also some of the threads on here recently have been aspects which I have no experience or passion in. e.g. upgrading sound systems, aerodynamic undertrays, wheel changing.

So rather than clutter the site with my useless posts I've just sat back and admired

If people have put time and effort into creating the thread then surely it would be disrespectful not to have a casual glance

In all seriousness I had meant my comment at the Mk6 section. Recent examples of threads might include Am1w's audio thread, or Snoopy's wheel and aero undertray threads. I've not really got any ideas for my car so I'm just quietly seeing what everyone else is up to. Biding my time perhaps.

I'd be interested in the front spoiler lip but not sure of the price, I'm guessing about £200. If it's that much I'd seriously consider the carbon version instead.

There seems to be two parts listed for the ED35 both pointing to Item 1.

Spoiler Satin Black Front   5K0805903G9B9 £46.67 inc Vat
Spoiler Black Lower Centre 5K0807110B041 £73.14 inc Vat

Mike can you cross reference that to the normal GTI as i think the lip (the body coloured painted bit on a normal GTI)is held on with a dimpelled bit below it.

This is all the parts listed under item 1

I think it maybe
Spoiler Black Lower Centre 5K0807110B041 £73.14 inc Vat
Because the GTI/GTD one is primed so thats the centre bit you can see.

But im not sure what
Spoiler Satin Black Front   5K0805903G9B9 £46.67 inc Vat
is ? As it may meen its a totally different fitting for the other part  :undecided:

As I was trying to get a new lip for my mums car, the satin black bit is the part that clips behind the painted part, as they clip together and that's where the screws are I believe :)
