Title: Fitting morette headlights on a mk3 gl

I recently won a pair of hella smoked morette style headlights on ebay. This listing was for a gti/vr6, but without thinking i brought them. Having a quick look the wiring looks totally different. Can anyone shed any light on this?

By totally different do you mean the plug isn't the same? You can get an adapter for that somewhere :)

Early golfs had square plugs then it changed to rounded plugs later on so it may be that
