Title: NCB before passing..
Post by: jamie_pyrite on 14 August 2011, 22:06
So if for example I got my provisional license at 17 and insured a car.. If I passed my driving test, 6 months into this one year policy would I still get a 1 year NCB certificate at the end of that period, or does NCB only build up for drivers with a full license?

Thanks!

I have a full 1 Year NCB from having a provisional. I have 5 years NCB and have only been driving 4 years.

Be careful of this - other insurers are unlikely to recognise it.

It's worth doing a few quotes and checking to see whether the companies who prove best for you will accept it.

Mine made a difference 5 years ago!
