Title: Quick help please!!! Only 2 hours to finish the job and I'm stuck!
Post by: drivebycar on 14 August 2011, 15:37
Hi,

I am swapping mk4 calipers onto my mk2 gti. Have got to the stage where I need to disconnect the hardline brake line from the brake hose that connects to the calipers as I am fitting the conversion hoses. I cant seem to disconnect the hard line from the hose, I am rounding off the 11mm bolt and think I'm about to snap the copper pipe! Is there a trick to this?

Thanks!

Using the right tools. Try pipe spanners, they are the only thing to use mate. Normal spanners will round them off.
