Right just wondering if there is any kind of obd port on the mk1s I know the mk2s have a two pin type near the hand brake any help would be appreciated.

Nothing of any sort is fitted, very basic car at the end of the day.
-
Nothing proper back to basics
-
None on a mk2 either

Ok thanks for the replys, my mk2 had two pins under the hand break and the mechanic at the main dealers said it was some kind of obd for basic checks.
-
That's exactly why I don't use main dealers

I might be wrong but I think Digi mk2's had basic obd much like Vauxhalls of the time.

I'm not sure a MK2 had anything either but MK1's certainly never did. There is nothing electronic anywhere really other than the MFA that later models had.

the 2 wire thing on mk2's is correct but from what ive read its pretty useless.. fit a 1.8t and get full OBD diagnostics lol

2 Wire diagnostic port = Yes you have electricity flowing through the car... Might even give a voltage reading too if you use the right gear. My MK1 has one.
