Title: New look for interior lights

Well decided to update them boring dull yellow glow interior lights . Pretty easy tbh but Nerv racking doing the rear interior lights as mine are anni and i no the price of a new unit  :shocked:. Well here are the pictures let me know what ya think.

Were the bulbs in the main light the same fitment as in the rear???

I dont have the W8 light - my standard one has the festoon and 2 small round bulbs that I assume are the same as the bulbs in the rear???

So I think I would only need 2 pairs of the round ones and 1 festoon

yes houston, 501 for plate bulbs. 99% sure from when i did mine.

no the number plate bulbs are festoons, can't remember the length of them off hand though

I'll measure the old bulbs when I get home to say for definite

You can buy the mk6 style bulb holders on ebay now too, £25 ish

its ok, was just thinking of a use for the spare 2 bulbs, i'll prob order the extra festoons for the plate another time.

whats the difference with the mk6 bulbs holders?

Lol wes interior wasn't that bad tbh £240 all in  :wink: seen them go for double that .

Rear interior lights are T5 neo wedge but be warned the lugs need trimming with a sharp blade . Very fiddliy but its do able .

For some bizzare reason 37mm festoon bulbs are double the price of 39mm. Just put 39mm in push the lil prongs out a bit and POP bulb in .

ah good to know mate cheers, I'm replacing all of the interior bulbs in the lights with LEDs before I fit them back in  :wink:

slowly changing every bulb to LEDs, just got the glove box, reverse lights and fog lights to go after the interior is done  :laugh:

did you have any bother with your 501 leds? ive fitted mine but there constantly on, just get brighter when i flick the switch, and any little knock of the unit and they flash, the festoon was fine
