Title: Locked Out - Flat Battery
Post by: Ian Mac on 13 August 2011, 14:30
I have returned from holiday to find my 52 plate TDI 130 with a flat battery, unfortunately there are no external locks on the doors, my only key does not fit the boot and the central locking is dead.
Does any body know if there is an un-switched live cable accessible from underneath the car which I could put a battery charger onto.
The coat hanger through the window has failed so far

Cheers
Ian

you with any kind of breakdown? dont think there is anyway into your car other than the following 3 options

1. call the r.a.c etc etc
2.smash a rear back quarter window
3.call a locksmith altho you say u have no key locks so that isnt an option

It's Ok I had stopped thinking logically - battery charger onto the starter motor, gave enough power to operate the central locking, then jump leads out of the boot (they where in there because I knew the battery was suspect before going on hols) Now running and charging nicely. Next job a new battery
