I'm only 19 so insurance is a killer :/ is there any point trying to enhance the performance of my car?

yo wont get much out of it mate or anything but if you really wanna do it do exhaust panel filter service and then try it but it aint worth it

What year and variant of 1.6 is it?  i.e. which engine code?  I've tuned our 1.4 Polo and it was definitely worth doing.

Pretty pointless wasting money on the engine tbh, your best bet is to give it a good service to make sure its running ok. If your really bothered about making it quicker then strip out any unwanted weight, much cheaper and easier than trying to gain power :wink:

Yeah on a 1997 I gotta agree.  Just enjoy it until you can afford to insure something quicker mate.

Sounds awesome aswell. We got a Saxo 1.6 booked in with bike carbs.. Cannot wait :-)
