Why?

Doubt it belongs to an enthusiast tbh.
Why?
Maths.
Mk4 golfs are one of the most common cars on the road, to find one that belongs to a forum using enthusiast is unlikely, even less likely if it's in standard guise.

Anyway, you're talking sh!t.
I have a mk4, its standard and I'm an enthusiast.
Not everyone modifies their cars and you don't have to either to be an enthusiast. Vw's have a good oem following.

30173 Members have signed up to golfGTIforum.co.uk since 2002.
Compare that to the amount of VW golfs sold in 2003 alone.
Maths.
I wasn't saying it doesn't belong to an enthusiast, but work it out statistically and point proven.

You know the amount of Golf Mk4's I've seen since I've had mine (1 week) is amazing I must of just not noticed them before, does anyone else have that? you buy a car and suddenly you see tonnes of them about

That has got nothing to do with it and you know it.
Most people buy their cars second hand.
Backpeddling, stop it now.

Sorry but HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
You epic turkey.
Do you understand statistics at all?
The golf is one of the most common cars in the world. You don't think everyone who owns one belongs to the fan club do you?
They probably like their car otherwise they wouldn't have bought it but that's not what makes an enthusiast.
