Title: HELP WITH STEREO AND CENTRAL LOCKING!

 hi there can anyone advice ( 1997 r reg golf gti, 8v, 2.0) about why stereo can  be cutting out all the time (which is very annoying) tryed different stereos, it will play normaly but after 5 10 min it will cut out, power still staying on, but radio or tape will be cut out (not playing )  and can anyone advice cental locking making hising long sound (  think there is leak from lock and not locking  rear passengers side door ,  :sad: :nerd: thanx

yes - take the door trim off and replace the hose.  The central locking as you've probably guessed is pnumatic (air) powered.  After years of use the hoses can split.  See my blog as i've recently taken that door apart to solve a wiring issue.  http://javalins.wordpress.com (http://javalins.wordpress.com)

3mm silicon hose from ebay is fine so I've read.
