Hi all,
I'm getting a bit fed up of the poor paint on my Tornado red Mk2 and am looking into machine polishing. Basically, I know nothing about it. Zilch. I've been reading up on a fair few points however the likes of 'detailingworld' and the more hardcore cleaning techniques scare the hell out of me! I need things in basic English
I've established I need a Dual Action polisher as I'm extremely paranoid about burning through the paint (I've experienced this before, not good). I'm looking to basically freshen up the paintwork in general. Not expecting a flawless finish, just something that'll breathe some life back into the car. I spent a whole day recently polishing, waxing etc by hand and it still looks rubbish.
This is what I'm looking to get rid of (this was a week after the day of cleaning):

Oxidation, watermarks and general 20 years worth of swirls and scratches.
I'm not looking to spend a fortune so will probably be looking for second hand machine. Can anyone more experienced recommend a good but budget polisher with a few pads to go with it? Current kit includes SRP, Red Moose Glaze, Britemax cutting compound and Jetseal 109.
Cheers!

Hi,
Drop me an e-mail or PM and i'm sure I can sort you out with a good bit of kit. I could have something absolutely perfect for you  My second hand Meguiar's G220? If not, can always sort you a good deal out on a Dodo Buff Daddy.

Is the Buff daddy exactly the same as the original das6 but with a dodo juice sticker on?

It comes out the same factory but not exactly the same machine. It's about 95% the same I think. As far as I can remember, it comes with a longer lead, a better backing plate, and the Dodo carrying bag.
