hi is there a way to do the cam chain on a vr6 with out taking the gearbox off

They need checking around 100k or if noisy, the issue is that they stretch.

its done 108000 miles and it is rattleing

So they need replacing asap along with the tensioners, not a cheap or easy job.

Genuine, not something to save on really as it is not a job you want to do twice.
