Title: Wing Lips on Golf R

I saw a white Golf R tonight and noticed a small black plastic lip on the rear under panel that protudes about half an inch. I take it this is standard but what is it for?

They're so they stay within the law regards the wheels sticking out further than the body. :wink:

As above and only on the R fitted with 19s. The EOS were i work also has them.
