Judging by the fact that no-one actually knows exactly what it will look like, i think i'll wait a while before i decide.

I think that will be in before the Mk6 is out! They'll give it one last hoorah before we see a Mk7 in the flesh.

Preview snapshots of MK7 was featured on July's Auto Express (issue 1175) also claiming the new GTI's 2.0 TSI outputs 220bhp and the R model 300bhp.
I'm not sure if that is the real deal.
-
I'll not be getting one, but I have got a biturbo transporter coming in on Thursday - results to follow
-
My dp's transporter bi turbo dsg has been chipped and it insane for a van....... Is it yours or one coming in for tuning?
-
Although im not buying one, there will be convertible in the mk 7....i was shown pics by the sales lady at VW.

You were shown pics of a MK7 convertible? You must have just had a world exclusive!!

Yes mate it was in for tuning, I have to say I'm shocked at how slow these 4 mo dsg things are standard, 0-60 took 14.5 seconds.....
Following the remap the 0-60 fell to 10.8 seconds but still it's not setting the world on fire.
I'm having a serious re-think about our new van
-
Don't think my dp's is a 4 motion........ Just rear wheel.

I'm not really wowed tbo looking at those pictures of the mk7. Thanks for posting them though.
-
Looks ok. At least it will be a proper step up this time, rather than a mk5.5

Thanks for posting that up.
Any sign of the new Leon yet? Surely they must both be due replacement at around the same time. Although the mk5 Golf was brought in a year before the Leon it's the Leon that has the run out deals going on at the moment (and selling very well too). And the A3 is even older isn't it?
Anyway, my thoughts on the new Golf are the same as every time I see a new Golf: Boring but it will grow on me. I'm sure the GTI/D/R will look a little more exciting. I don't like the front but the wider flared rear arches look better.

If it looks like that we'll forgive the cardboard interior

LOL, when did the A3 last have a chasis change or interior change?...... I had a 54 plate A3, 05 Plate Sportback and an 08 Sportback and as far as I know the current model is the same car from 2004? At least 0.5 is better than standing still....
-
Yep, they called it a facelift though, they didnt make out it was a new model

They changed the lights and a few other bits, at least we got a new shell and interior.......
-
The mk5.5 interior looks identical
They changed the bonnet, lights, wings, rear valance, grille, wing mirrors, rear lights off the top of my head. So similar to the mk5 to mk6 basically

My 54 plate A3 was the 'facelift' model so since then - nothing of note. Oh and don't correct me as I've had 3 A3's spanning 2004 and 2010...
You need to go to a VW showroom and look at the differences between a MK5 and the MK6. Oh yeah and whilst your there ask them where the A3 forum is.........
-
I have a HUGE gripe with the A3, you can't pull the handbrake up with the armrest down!! How cr@p is that!
Apart from that i quite like it as long as no-one needs to get in the back :lipsrsealed:

Yep, I agree. Just poor design. Shame because the rest of the car was half decent back in it's day (having gone past it's sell-by date about 2 years ago).
This is the real deal;
It's just another photoshop.
-
Whenever the A3/S3 is mentioned, the death knell of a thread, nay a forum, is neigh.
