Post by: Oxen1978 on 07 August 2011, 08:23
Please help. My poor golf has caught the infamous  cutting out illness
And now it's started to judder under acceleration. On diagnostic the
only fault that came up was the c o sensor  which I replaced but
sadly this hasn't fix the problem :(
I have been looking it up and loads people have replaced different
Sensors and parts but only for the problem to reoccur.
Please help!

Welcome to the forum.....common faults for these symptoms are dirty throttle body (easy to clean and a how to guide in the Mark 3 Maintenence section), MAF (although this would normally throw up a fault code), crank sensor (can give a fault code but not all the time) or faulty coil pack/leads.

Unplug the MAF sensor first and see if it runs better as this is a free test !!!

Hope this helps.

Cheers
