Im looking to buy a mark 5 Golf, could any one tell me were the VIN stamps are so I can check them agaisnt the log buck??

i thought the one in the window and engine bay?

usual places on ANY car are on the top of the slam panel at front of engine bay or on pillar just inside drivers door

not 100% sure of the entire sticker but thats where the paint code is

On the MK5's I thought the number that you can see in the bottom right hand side of the windscreen (looking from the outside) is the VIN number.
