hey guys, sure i read somewhere that it's possible to make these windows hinged, so that i can have them open on the motorway etc...
is this true or false, if it's true, what do i need etc
-
false
-
Never seen it plus with how they are mounted cannot see how it could be done.
-
Why would you even want to? Got proper rear windows in a 5dr :smug:
-
it would be better for the motorways as i have a dog with me whenever i head down the motorway to see family
-
Dogs dont need to stick their nose out!
-
You could probably do it but it would be more effort than its worth. Everything would need to be fabricated to specification. Glass would need to be drilled for holes for the hinges and catch, hinges and catch would need to be made to fit the location of where they are going, or ones off another car retrofitted, and a new seal that would sit in the frame rather than be attached to the glass itself.
-
Then any prospective thief could just push it open!

Confusing yourself with MK2 Happich pop outs.
