right guys how simple is a mk 3 2.0 16v conversion into a 1988 mk1 gti cabby?
engine mounts?
ecu/wiring?
driveshafts?
hubs?
basically how much needs changing?
or are there any other simpler conversions? i.e mk3 8v, mk2 16v etc etc
just want the car to be fairly reliable and easy driving nothing insane as its my mums really

16v kr is pretty straightforward, abf 2l isa bit more difficult due to the tall block and getting a manifold to suit, you could go 2l 9a short block which is the same as a kr conversion but greater capacity.
use the search function and do a bit of research of what you'll need, but if 'its your mums' why are you even bothering?
unless of course your mum happens to be michelle mouton or fabria pons :lipsrsealed:

Insurance reasons maybe :lipsrsealed:
