Hi all. can anybody tell me if the jbl replacement 6x 4  speakers are any good for my mk2 gti. I just want some nice clear sounds. Or do i chop up my shelf and stick some 6x9s in....
Cant decide on a budget and tryin to keep things original.....
Also anyone sellin speakers please let me know......

I just got some JBLs in mine and i like them as a cheap and cheerful replacement for standard. Don't hack! If you have to have 6x9's make an MDF parcel shelf for them, not too tricky and means you have the original shelf when you come to sell it. The JBL's dont exactly have pounding bass but a nice clear sound....

i brought myself a stealth shelf, sounds gay i know, and that enables me to use 6 x 9 with out sacrificing my original shelf. As for
JBL's they are not a premium speaker but that is reflected in the price. I'n my opinion i would pay i bit more and go for an alpine or
kenwood set up. look in your local free ads you will be amazed at the amount of ice for sale. i picked up two kenwood 6 x 9 for
£15 in spanking condition
