This guy also took credit for designing KITT from Knight Rider. In fact all he did was build (not create or design) the superpursuit mode (contentious issue amongst some Knight Rider fans, including me!). He did not create/design the dash, the nose or anything else.

George Barris's best creation was the Hirohata Merc (google it) one of the first customs/rods to be entered at Pebble Beach, still copied today, iirc the car was built about 55 years ago... And what a come down being involved in the knightrider car after his earlier creations :lipsrsealed:

The Hirohata Merc was a legendary custom! I remember reading an article when someone had built an EXACT replica - he was somewhat touched by it  :cool: :cool: :cool:
