No J palte DUB on DVLA websh!te.

F??? DUB all start at £610, so plate  + car looks about right.

Looks really good for the money (on face value)

I've seen some real snotters trying to sell for more money than that.

Is it because its missing 8valves?

Lewy, you are NO FUN.

Blatantly missing 8 valves, but that's easily remedied by killing a Golf3.

Found some DUB plates for £400-600.  Car is just shy of a grand then... It still seems pretty cheap IMO,  8 valves missing or not.  If it's as clean as it looks then it's a good buy for someone!  Not you though Chuff, you know the car you should be getting.

"THE CAR IS COMPLETLY STANDARD" apart from:

shocks/springs
engine conversion
exhaust
front and rear strut brace
crystal head lights
dark indicators
tinted windows
steering wheel
pedals
gearknob
audio install
de-locked boot

looks well worth the money though ;)

Well, yes I suppose the aquaducts, but apart from the aquaducts, what've the romans ever done for us?
What about the roads?!
Oh yes, you've got to include the roads!

Be interested to know if this is any good.. I'm looking for a white 3dr 8v gti for around that price!

Also, why put the 8v engine from a mk3 in when it only gains 3 ponies? Are the low-down torque figures even more earth-shattering than the mk2?

2.0 bottom end was all the rage when ABF's were not 2 a penny, worth doing if you have a Mk3 rusting away somewhere......
No Cat+260 CAM and 4 branch makes for quite a bit of punch in the light MK2.
Got to love a white MK2, prefer small bumpers with 16v Brake ducts
