Right then, just ordered my TH lines from Scmitzzzzzzzz and now I'm bored. Going to drop the lump from gordon and totally rebuild it even though it's fine, now what cam for fast road, what manifold, do I port and polish and anything else you'd recommend whilst it's apart? 1995 8v by the way and not interested in 20v transplants etc

It is an 8v, no matter what you throw at it you still looking at less than a 16v will give.

Cam of something around 286 duration is your best bet as its fast road and will be a bit touchy at low revs, but managable. Anything above that is really for track only. Manifold is not really restrictive, and more than sufficient for what you could get out of an 8v. Port polish throttle body and inlet mani will add a bit, but not as much as you might think. Cold air feed, modded airbox and panel filter changed regularly, and a decent cat back or decat will see you gain the most tbh, and if you buy a second hand zaust, u can get gains for very little. All the other stuff mentioned will set you back a fair amount and will give you little gain.

personally would not waste my time or my money on modifying the 8v lump..
