Post by: MADDOX020407 on 31 July 2011, 19:12
Hi just picking all your brains i have an immaculate mk3 golf 2.0 8v 115bhp estate, I am looking at making it into a vr6 daily ride, as i need the bigger boot for work purposes. but first of all i will need to get disc brakes all round as it has drum brakes on the back and uprate the susupension. Any ideas and what sort of cost i am looking at.Also is there any body who fancies doing for me as i don,t really have the time cheers

Buy a donor car and switch everything over, much easier in the long run.

Or you could just keep you're eye out for a decent MK3 VR6 and save yourself a lot of bother.

If he wants to keep an estate he will have no choice but to convert.

These sound like a bargain at £60 in the classifieds.

Not sure if they are suitable for VR6 weight but are off a mk3 estate.

Because there was no such thing as a Mk3 VR estate you can never really tell.  Your best option is coilovers as you will have the flexibility to adjust.
