Not sure what these are called - outer sills, maybe?
Basically my drivers side one is starting to come away from the body and it's also cracked so I'm presuming I need to buy another one and also maybe one for the passenger side also as there's a bit of a bulge in the rear one (I'm presuming there's a bit of rust coming through there so it'll probably be a scary thing ripping these off but I think it needs to be done.
So anyway, my questions are:
1. What are the called?
2. Where can I buy replacements? Also, are they model specific i.e. 3 door / 5 door?
3. Are the straight forward to fit?
I'd really appreciate any help/thoughts or ideas on this one.
Thanks in advance.

its a sill cover i think. the metal you can see is part of the plastic sill cover and not your bodywork.
They literally just pull off.
think they cost £30 each from vw

Do you know if they're straight-forward to fit? I've tried (all be it very slowly and carefully) prizing it away but it seems pretty stuck on. Didn't want to rip it off until I have replacements to fit in place.

Check out my thread in maintainence section "side trims/side skirts".

Fantastic - thanks for this. Are they the same part numbers for both 5 door and 3 door models, do you know?

Sorry, I didn't read your post correctly! They are the same. Thanks again
