Really?

GSF ones have always done me proud. Where did yours come from. Iirc you can get wire reinforced ones. Did you have the ring ones or the proper figure of 8 ones.

What are you hanging off them though, OEM system?

They can break as well, although it takes a bit longer.

Stainless steel exhaust  system is on the car, anyone think the weight of it could be the issue with rubber breaking time after time...

It depends if it is hung correctly.

Yeah, I had one break. Popped into a local exhaust place and they gave me a couple of free hangers for free!

It depends if it is hung correctly.

Oh, I am hung properly :p

My g60 used to be so out of tune the exhaust got so hot and kept melting the rubbers, even polybush ones  :lipsrsealed:

Try some polybush ones, VW ones just are not built to last with heavy StSt systems regardless of how they are put on. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Golf-MK2-Exhaust-Mountings-Bushes-Poly-/390281317117?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5ade944afd
