Title: engine management light

hi there driving home this evening my engine managment light came funny thing is the car drives the same no change ,my car is an 05 gti 57000 miles any ideas

Sounds lime a emission related fault, if your just getting a light and no power cut.  You need to find a forum member local to you who will be willing to plug into your car and check the codes.

cheers wil try and get the car in on saturday at my local indy vw specialist.....by the way rang vw they want 85 quid just to plug it in .....
