Anyone got any tips to get the B pillar, the bottom part and C pillars off? I've had a pull on them but I don't wanna break them...
-
When I removed my headliner it was just a case of softly softly catchy monkey.
Try to locate the clips then focus the force on that area, reduces the possibility of snapping things.
Does feel like its gonna break though.
-
I'll have a good look tomorrow at lunchtime, need to get my headlining out by Friday so I can borrow the rents garage for the weekend

I just unclipped the panels until I could slide the headliner out.
Have fun

I need everything out really so I can change door seals for the ones I've painted and cover the pillars too...
Cheers lads will give it a go tomorrow

and my headlining is out
C pillar covers were a bit of a pain in the arse but managed to get them out after a bit of pulling about
it's now set up ready in my parents ready to be covered with some black velvet material and put back in on Sunday

Yes mate the material nad got hold of for me is quite stretchy so is ideal to push into the curves

Trim fix contact adhesive, designed specifically for cars and the temperature the interiors can go up to. Available on ebay

-
Cheers mate, I've got better the more parts I've done
it's a little darker than the anni colour but looks quite dark and plush lol
-
Looking good wes . My anni headliner and black interior is by far my best mod LOL keep it up wes
-
Will do mate cheers. Got to paint the belt clips, rear interior lights and the W8 light over the weekend. Your old sunvisors are nearly finished and ready to go in. Just need to buy a black rear window surround, some vanity lights, hooks and covers for the visors and it'll be done. Might get genuine black interior lights for the rear at a later date as they cost about £20 each! Still not as bad as the ultrasonic version though
The belt parts are about £15 each too
-
LOL yep the alarm sensor lights in satin black (Anni) are a joke LOL way to expensive LOL . Glad you made use of them wes

darker than the anni headliner, in that case it will be bloody dark in there, mines dark as it is lol.

Top job there wes

and finished
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/WesRS/2011-08-20124345.jpg)
I've ordered some LED bulbs to go in every light in the car too, I'll fit the W8 light in as soon as they arrive
I'm now on the hunt for some black sunvisors from either the Leon Cupra R, S3 or Octavia vRS. Only problem with the Octavia is they didn't have the vanity lights so they wouldn't work but I have a plan with that, maybe adding a subtle switch in the roof lining under the flap
-
What happend to them visors i sent ya wes lol
-
I can't get the paint to dry properly on them for some reason mate, also I split some acetone on one of them and it kinda melted the plastic a bit
-
