Hi all...
I recently purchased a MK4 1,4 VW and i', in love  I wanted a GTI but because of my age and because i,ve only been driving for 2 years insurance companies didn't wanna know so i,ve started small but i'm thinking of bigger things for the future... I deceided it would be a good idea to become a member on here because i've already started to do little jobs on my girl to make her look sweet... She has TTRS alloys that previously belonged to my fella who drives a very fast and highly modified Mk1 TT I sanded and resprayed them and they look fab... I also bought some Recaro seats 2 weeks ago and i'm about to attempt to fit them today as its the first free day i've had... Just read up on a post on here and it mostly sounds simple apart from the disconnecting of the airbag but i'm sure it won't present me with too many problems... Anyway i look forward to having a good nosey at some of the mods and write ups on here and hope i'll get some good ideas on what else i can spend my hard earned cash on

Well this is my girl......
She isn't the GTI i wanted originally but i totally fell in love with her especially once i'd fitted her new shoes
And the seats are now fitted and i must say they are incredably comfortable...

The job turnrd out to be quite tricky as the connection for the airbag under the seat is a little different to the one on my old seats and therefore i'm gonna have to wire the old connection upto the new seat but thats a job for tomorrow i think... I may even let the brains in the house handle that one, I wouldn't wanna break anything

Hi Kelly, nice to see another girl online and one that tinkers!!
I'll be honest with ya... I was introduced to the world of tinkering by my "petrol head" boyfriend but its so addictive... When it comes to cars i just can't get enough these days Waxing, Polishing, modding, F1, Top Gear Car shows etc... Its taking over my life but i love it

Well i have made some sacrifices for the men in my life in the past. This is the first time that "making sacrifices" became a hobbie of mine too  and i must admit i feel incredably comfortable with my head under the bonnet and a ratchet in my hand lol...

Wow thats alot of petrol  And makes sense you wouldn't wax the car if its Matt black... It'd be nice to see the car in a Matt finish... I've seen a TT that was really nice and a BMW that was... well not as nice  but as of yet i haven't seen a golf in a Matt finish. I bet it looks cool though  xxx

+1 to see some pics

Its fine... I can't beleive how many cars you have... Thats awesome. There are quite a few different motors that i'd love to get my hands on and make into mini projects but finances just won't allow... I love to buy cars that have seen better days and inject some life back into them. I've decided that when i finish my degree as a treat to myself for being all sensible and getting a better wage packet i'm gonna try to get my hands on an old Mustang or dodge and restore it... Its gonna be an expensive project as i'm sure the parts won't be easy to get my hands on but its whats keeping me focused on my studies lol
-
go for it Kelly, start saving cos Mustangs will empty your bank accounts!! Ive been restoring my Vette since i bought it 15 yrs ago, amid everything else

Get yourself a Photobucket account, upload your pics from your PC, when on Photobucket, copy the IMG code, and paste into a thread.
Lets see the Vette
