Title: 16 v engine cutting out

need help engine keeps cutting out does a few hiccups after short while driving then cuts out and refuses to start...leave it for a while and its ok again. Had the car about 5 years and when i bought it had a similar prob but not so bad rectified this by changing the fuel pump and ecu relay.....could it be this AGAIN! relay no30 gets very hot to the touch is this normal? help as always very much appreciated

Yes this relay will always get this hot, think it can pull upto 30 amps :s

could be loose/broken wire to coil, hall sensor, crank sensor. all worth a look.

not registering any fault codes so dont think   its a sensor was registering vehicle speed sensor but changed that and still no joy relays dont show on diagnostic machines and would tend to play up once warmed up?.......or am i talking bollocks!
