Right. For my birthday me and the girl are coming down for a gig and plannning on staying over/ spending a couple of days.
Questions!
Where to stay? Gig is at the O2 academy.
What to see when down, if anything
Any outstanding amazing places to eat/drink/be merry at.
All help appreciated - I know a lot of you are local.
Also gig is the revival tour - Stink you going?

Alright dude im not going to that
but
There are a few travel lodge hotels doted about the place
as for food and drink depends what your after really?
The Hatchet (which is opposite the 02) is my normal watering hole nice alternative kinda pub but laid back place, then you have the waterfront for places like lloyds. park street has some trendy type bars (not really my scene) but the White hart at the top of park street again is a nice pub good atmosphere
then you have the likes of Vodka revolution which again is good, near st nicks market. or if you head to Kings st got places like Sublime which is a cocktail bar two for £7 and love it there! and then the cider boat 'The Apple' really are spoilt for choice but depends what your after dude :)

Cheers man. Surprised you're not going to that. Gonna be sweet and get to see Chuck Ragan (hot water music) again. He's a beast of a man.
Yeah not into the trendy thing either.
What is there during the day or is it all shops really?
-
Yeah i havent been to any big gigs in teh 02 for a while but playing with Strung Out this sunday  cant bloody wait!
Um during the day well you have places like Castle Park, or College green but it is all very shop orientated

Hotel Du Vin .....impress the lady some!
Pah, poor effort, especially when Bell's Diner is just around the corner. MUCH better food.
If you don't want to go that posh then go to One 30 for FG tapas.

Cheers for all the help guys!

I never eat in hotels...(not since the blackpool travelodge 'eye of a needle' incident, ask Guy an Mew :lipsrsealed: )
But the rooms are all different an quirky, nicer than a premier inn or something!
I'll have to check out this Bells Diner when im down there next, is it fancy sh!t or Proper sh!t?

which bars are you talking about? Walkabout is ok but not really my thing to many meat-heads being super cool and hard as nails, although upstairs is rewind which is a cool 90's club
