Same as other models, measure the size but a mk4 one should fit.

You just have to be careful with the mk4 badges because there are 2 different types, an early one which is fairly deep and a later one which is much shallower. I'd assume you'll need an early one but it would be worth checking

Just a follow up. I got a black roundel from ebay, VW part number 1JO 853 601 A 041.
This is the shallow type. Being from a mk4 it is NOT a direct fit. Its the same size but you have to remove all the tags apart from the top two and the centre one.

Sprayed ones can chip and scratch. I have modded the mk4 one to fit. My previous post was just to clarify the information. So any one looking in the future to do the same thing would have a better idea.

Sprayed ones can chip and scratch.

I was worried about chipping, so I got another badge from a scrapper and sanded the chrome off, then sprayed three coats of gray primer, sanding between each, then sprayed two coats of red (more sanding) and finally two coats of clear coat. A lot of work maybe but it looks good and I can wax over it too.

The Cabrio one is next as soon as I can get a good badge to work on, but as she is black I'm toying with the idea of gunmetal gray or metallic black. Can't be too cool - there are people out there who don't own a Golf
