Post by: dansmk3 on 21 July 2011, 14:22
Guys i know this has probably been covered but can only find chat about colour coding your trim from black to your specified colour

just want to make mine look brand new, so how would i do it?

degrease, then give it a little sand to get rid of tar etc and spray with a gloss black?? i want them to look shiny but not overly shiny lol

Cheers ayne, but don't you have to reapply every so often?

Yeah but it will make them look far better than spraying them. Dont use gloss if you do decide to spray them though. You will need plastic primer, and satin or matt paint. But imho, I've seen a few that have been sprayed and then after a year or so of washing etc, they have started to flake so look mega sh!te! You could try a hot air gun on them and be careful around the paintwork, as the heat brings them back to original. Have a search on youtube as there are a couple of vids on there with the hot air gun and it looks good.
