Hi all,
I need to replace my oil seal this weekend, is it possible to do this without a timing gun? Can I just mark the dizzy position before disassembly and return when it goes back in?
Obvious question but I don't really do cars!
Cheers

In short yes, usually applies to all/most parts of the timing gear.. if marked up when removed you should be fine if you put it back just as it was. cambelts are often done this way,

Yes, mark it and it will be fine might still be worth getting the timing checked afterwards anyway.
